Paresh Rawal has reportedly walked out of Hera Pheri 3 directed by Priyadarshan. The film will now star Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in the lead from the original cast

Just when we thought that the casting of the much anticipated Hera Pheri 3 had been sorted and will soon go on floors, here comes another blow. According to latest report, actor Paresh Rawal who immortalised the role of the funny and innocent Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, has walked out of the film.
Paresh Rawal confirms exit from Hera Pheri 3
Bollywood Hungama has reported that Paresh Rawal has walked out of the film owing to creative differences. A source told the entertainment portal, “There were creative differences between the makers and Paresh Rawal. As a result, the actor decided to step down from the film.”
The portal also reached out to Paresh Rawal to confirm the news. The actor confirmed that he has indeed walked out of the film.
About Hera Pheri 3
The film was set to be directed by Priyadarshan who is currently shooting his film Bhoot Bangla that also stars Paresh and Akshay Kumar. The team has already filmed the muhurat shot of the film with the OG cast, which is Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar had walked out of the franchise and it was reported that Kartik Aaryan was roped in his place. However, back then Paresh Rawal had confirmed Kartik's entry into the franchise while making it clear that Kartik will not be playing the role of Raju, that was essayed by Akshay Kumar.
However, owing to fans demanding Akshay Kumar's return to the franchise, the makers made it possible and the OG cast was roped back in for the third installment of the comedy franchise.
About the comedy franchise
The first installment in the franchise, "Hera Pheri" reached the audience in 2000. A remake of the Malayalam film "Ramji Rao Speaking" received an overwhelming response from the audience.
Six years later, the sequel to the film, "Phir Hera Pheri" was released in 2006 and it also turned out to be a box office success.
In addition to this, Priyadarshan has joined hands with Paresh and Akshay for another project, "Bhooth Bangla." Apart from them, the drama will also see Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Govardhan Asrani in significant roles.
Backed by Ekta Kapoor, "Bhooth Bangla" is scheduled to reach the audience on April 2, 2026.
