While Brad Pitt is away promoting his upcoming film F1 across the globe, a property linked to the actor was reportedly broken into earlier this week. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a break-in took place on Wednesday night at a residence located in the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, as reported by NBC News on Thursday.
LAPD Officer Drake Madison confirmed that three suspects allegedly entered the property through a front window and ransacked the home before fleeing the scene with miscellaneous items. Nothing of high value or financial worth was taken - just random objects, reported by Madison. He also mentioned that there is currently no information available regarding the suspects, the property's occupants, or any confirmed ownership details. Police have yet to release a full list of what was taken.
According to real estate platform Traded, Pitt purchased the home in April 2022 for approximately $55 million. However, a representative for the actor declined to comment on the incident, as Pitt continues his international promotional tour for F1. The actor was most recently spotted in London for the UK premiere on Monday.

The upcoming film, F1, is a sports drama centered on Formula One racing and marks a long-held ambition for Pitt. Speaking at a press conference in Mexico City, the actor shared his excitement about the project, reported People.
"For me, it was just a no-brainer when (Joseph Kosinski) had this audacious plan to embed us in the racing season, to put us actually in the cars. It was just a dream come true," Pitt said.
He further revealed that he had been eager to work on a racing film for years, saying, "I've been trying to do a racing film for literally decades. And whether it was on bikes or whether it was in cars, for whatever reason, it just didn't pan out. I'm so grateful because the experience Joe gave us, putting us in the car, putting us in this ecosystem of the F1 racing season, with all the drivers and teams, was just an extraordinary experience."
While Pitt is no stranger to high-octane films - having starred in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Troy - he admitted that F1 brought something entirely new. "Nothing like I've ever experienced in all my decades doing this," he said.
The film is set to hit theatres on Friday, June 27, in both the United States and India.
